La musica è un dono. Quando si incontrano persone di differenti culture c’è sempre uno scambio, si esercitano delle influenze. La storia della musica indiana mostra una progressione, una evoluzione da differenti stili. Se si guarda indietro a centinaia di anni fa si  trovano influenze africane nella musica asiatica e influenze celtiche e irlandesi nella musica africana. Se andiamo abbastanza indietro nel tempo vediamo come i differenti tipi di stile e di cultura si evolvono da diversi altri stili e culture. Quello che voglio dire è che non ci sono musiche che sono nate da sole e non hanno avuto influenze. Tutto quello con cui entriamo in contatto ha un’influenza su di noi. Io sono venuto in Italia e questa cultura, questa esperienza di tre giorni ha avuto e continuerà ad avere un'influenza su quello che dirò o farò. Io penso che non esiste una musica indigena pura: tutto ha un’influenza e si evolve. Cinque minuti fa c’era un'altra persona seduta qui: io sono cambiato, mi sono evoluto. Lo stesso accade nella musica.

Music is a gift. When people of different cultures meet there is always an exchange, influences are exerted. The history of Indian music shows a progression, an evolution of various styles. If you look back hundreds of years ago you find African influences in Asian music and Celtic and Irish influences in African music. If we go back far enough in time, we see how the different types of style and culture evolve from various other styles and cultures. What I mean is there is no music born alone and without having influence. Everything we come into contact with influences us. I came to Italy and this culture, this three-day experience has had and will continue to have an influence on what I will say and do. I think there is no pure indiginous music: everything has an influence and evolves. Five minutes ago there was another person sitting here: I have changed, I have evolved. The same happens in music.
